Job Summary
The Logistics Loader Operator follows all documented procedures and safely operates a forklift to transfer non-hazardous or hazardous materials to FRP tankers; loads inhibitors from IBC Tote to FRP Tanker; and accurately documents the loading and unloading process.

The Logistics Loader Operator follows all documented procedures and safely operates a forklift to transfer non-hazardous or hazardous materials to FRP tankers; loads inhibitors from IBC Tote to FRP Tanker; and accurately documents the loading and unloading process.
Responsibilities
- Follow all documented procedures and safely operates a forklift to transfer non-hazardous or hazardous materials to FRP tankers
- Load inhibitors from IBC Tote to FRP Tanker
- Perform pump operations
- Accurately complete required paperwork to document the loading and unloading process
- Maintain housekeeping in the truck loading area
- Immediately communicate any problems to supervisor or assigned report
- Regularly communicate with dispatch and drivers
- Complete all required hazardous material handling and forklift operation training
- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience, preferred
- Maintaining a current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, preferred
- Experience loading and unloading hazardous materials a plus
- Must understand hazardous material handling and loading safe practices
- Must be forklift operator certified or can complete and pass forklift certification training course by specified deadline
- Must be able to read, understand, and accurately complete Load Sheets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to read, write, and follow directions in English
- Must have strong detail orientation skills and a high sense of the importance of maintaining accuracy
- Personable and teamwork oriented, can effectively work with others to reach a common objective
- Motivated, energetic, with a positive attitude; willing to take the initiative to make operational improvements
- Reliable with a strong work ethic, willing to show up daily and remain accountable for all required duties
- Can independently and accurately perform required duties for long periods with little or no supervision
- Must be physically able to safely perform duties during a 12 hour work shift that will include days, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
- Must be physically able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Must be physically able to safely perform required duties in all weather conditions including extreme hot or cold
- Must be physically able to safely lift 50 lbs. (25 lbs. overhead)
