Senior Business Analyst Role
The Senior Business Analyst (Proposal Development) is responsible for producing timely and accurate proposal budgets and strategy documents through collaboration with other departments and colleagues. This role reports directly to the Director of Commercial Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute as part of a team of proposal professionals
- Participate in proposal development to prepare high-quality, timely budgets and proposals for complex studies or high-profile clients that align with business and financial objectives
- Review proposal materials for risk and escalate any areas of concern
- Manage assigned RFIs/RFPs from start to completion, including budget, best practices, and overall quality deliverables
- Collaborate with clients to develop RFI/RFP strategies and tactical execution plans
- Verify proposal outputs for consistency, clarity, and compliance with client RFI/RFP requirements for proposal staff
- Adhere to SOPs and perform additional duties as assigned
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office products, and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with project management tools preferred
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude required
- Able to work independently and hands-on
- Multitasking, prioritization, learning quickly, and maintaining confidentiality essential
- Excellent written, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective teamwork and leadership qualities among peers
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of progressive experience in proposal and budget development at a contract research organization or equivalent
- Knowledge and/or experience in Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information desirable
