Position Overview:
As a Medication Dispensing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with the Dispensing Manager, healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure accurate medication management and support our commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of the Dispensing Manager.
Verify prescription information and ensure proper labeling and packaging of medications.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining medication supplies.
Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
Participate in medication therapy management and patient education initiatives.
Ensure compliance through the following of SOP’s and guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an MA or equivalent of healthcare experience.
Previous experience dispensing medications in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using software and technology.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
