988 Lifeline Call Taker - Overnight Shifts Available ($20/hr)
Join our team as a 988 Lifeline Call Taker and provide crucial support to individuals in distress. Launched in July 2022, 988 is a nationwide, 24/7 crisis line connecting callers with trained National Suicide Prevention Lifeline counselors.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in telephone/call-center roles, especially those involving emotional support, is highly preferred
- Competent with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, databases, and other software systems
- Ability to remain calm and composed while deescalating crisis situations while showing very high levels of empathy
- Must attend training in Framingham, MA
- Requires a Mac (Google Chrome access) or PC, reliable Wi-Fi, and a headset with a microphone compatible with the computer
- Must have a quiet workspace for working from home
