Lease Administrator Job Summary :
A leading New England-based commercial real estate developer is seeking a Lease Administrator to join its accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Accounting, this role is responsible for overseeing all lease-related activities, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records in Yardi. The Lease Administrator will work closely with Asset Managers, Property Management, and Accounting to track critical lease obligations, manage commissions, and support due diligence for acquisitions and sales.

Key Responsibilities :
Abstract and enter new lease data into Yardi, maintaining critical dates and compliance files.
Prepare Construction Abstracts for tenant improvements and landlord work.
Review and distribute leases and exhibits for execution.
Track lease expirations, amendments, and adjustments.
Manage the commission calculation and payment process, ensuring proper approvals.
Process tenant move-outs and coordinate security deposit returns.
Assist in due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions, reviewing lease documents.
Ensure lease compliance, including tracking tenant certificates of insurance and operating expenses.
Required Experience :
3-5 years of experience in commercial lease administration or real estate paralegal work, with expertise in lease interpretation.
Must be able to read, interpret, and manage commercial lease documents.
Nice-to-Have Experience :
Experience working in commercial real estate development or commercial property management.
Background in lease auditing or financial analysis within commercial real estate.
Prior experience as a commercial Property Accountant as this translates well to this Lease Administrator role

Microsoft Office Proficiency : Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
