Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Nursing Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced medical unit environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse and be familiar with emergency medical procedures like cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). A current and valid license as a practical nurse in MA is also required.
Responsibilities
- Direct and participate in nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in inpatient units, following established care standards
- Administer or supervise medication in accordance with protocols and practices
- Maintain accurate records for patient activities, meetings, treatment plans, and nursing assignments
- Provide professional expertise during emergency situations, codes, and unexpected emergencies
- Perform direct hands-on nursing care using established hospital policies and standards of care
- Document changes in patient condition and care provided
- Engage in personal and professional growth through in-service training and committee participation
- Lead and supervise unit personnel in nursing techniques, procedures, and equipment use
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Familiarity with emergency medical procedures like cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Current and valid license as a practical nurse in MA
- At least one year of tracheotomy experience in the field of nursing as an LPN
