Position :  PrePress Technician

Location :  North Kansas City, MO

Role Overview :

As a PrePress Technician at ProPrint Digital, you'll play a crucial role in preparing files for Digital and Offset production. Your expertise will ensure that every print job meets our high standards of quality. You'll work closely with our production team to troubleshoot issues, optimize files, and maintain smooth workflow processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • File Preparation :  Review and correct digital files to ensure they meet print specifications and quality standards.
  • Proofing :  Generate and review proofs to confirm color accuracy and alignment before final printing.
  • Troubleshooting :  Address and resolve technical issues related to files and prepress equipment.
  • Collaboration :  Work with designers, sales staff, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Control :  Maintain consistent quality and accuracy across all print projects.
  • Graphics :   Small amount of Graphic Design , as we are mainly working with clients files.

Qualifications :

  • Experience :  Proven experience in prepress or a similar role within the printing industry.
  • Technical Skills :  Proficiency with prepress software (Adobe Creative Suite, PitStop Pro, etc.) and an understanding of print processes and color management.
  • Attention to Detail :  Strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.
  • Communication :  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving :  Effective at identifying issues and providing solutions to ensure high-quality output.
  • Graphic Design Knowledge :   An understanding of graphic design, CMYK vs RGB, Adobe Suite knowledge
  • Variable Data Knowledge :   Working with Excel, Word, and Mailing Programs for USPS and ability to set up complex Variable Data, one to One communications.
