**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist Journeyman to join our team at Propulsion Controls Engineering LLC. As an Outside Machinist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in marine and/or shipyard settings, with expertise in Steam, Gas Turbine, and Diesel propulsion systems, rudders, steering gear, elevators, and deck equipment. You will also be proficient in analyzing defects and adjusting or repairing electrical mechanical systems of outboard motors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems.
- Analyzing defects and adjusting or repairing electrical mechanical systems of outboard motors.
- Disassembling and inspecting motor components using mechanical hand tools.
- Replacing parts such as gears, magneto points, piston rings, and spark plugs.
- Performing testing of equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications, references, and drawings.
