Job Overview
As a skilled Machinist Journeyman, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience, with expertise in steam, gas turbine, and diesel propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installation, repair, and maintenance of fluid systems including pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators, and valves.
• Testing of equipment to ensure systems meet specifications and drawings.
• Replacement of defective parts, such as gears, magneto points, piston rings, and spark plugs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience preferred.
• Marine Hydraulics and/or Marine Refrigeration a plus.
• Ability to follow repair references and drawings, and proficiency in precision measuring equipment.
