ProRecruiters is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Conduct three-point investigations by contacting the employer, doctor, and employee to gather necessary information.
- Take recorded statements as needed, either based on the investigation or at the request of the client or Claims Supervisor.
- Work closely with clients to obtain witness statements from co-workers, supervisors, or others with relevant knowledge.
- Report specific claims to the ISO (Index Bureau) to check for any prior liability or personal injury claims by the claimant.
- Obtain medical authorizations and request related medical records, reviewing them for pre-existing conditions or disabilities that may impact claim apportionment.
- Schedule independent medical evaluations (IME) as needed, clearly outlining the purpose of the evaluation.
- Issue denial letters to all parties if compensability is denied.
- If compensability is confirmed, initiate benefits and authorize necessary medical treatments and specialist care.
- Notify adverse parties of the client’s right to subrogation when applicable, and issue demand letters for reimbursement of medical or indemnity expenses.
- Submit private investigation or medical management requests to the Claims Manager for approval, obtaining client confirmation as needed.
- Must have OK casualty and property license.
