Join a reputable and expanding employer in New Hyde Park, NY that is hiring experienced Diesel Truck Mechanics to maintain and repair their fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks, including semis, dump trucks, box trucks, flatbeds, and Reefer trucks.

Shift :

Multiple shifts available :

  • Days, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM (Monday - Friday)
  • Afternoons, 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM (Monday - Friday)
  • Midnight - 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM (Monday - Friday)

    • Responsibilities :

  • Perform preventive maintenance services
  • Maintain work area safety
  • Conduct diesel repairs, service, and diagnostics
  • Service customers and handle road calls
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Inspect trucks for proper working condition
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment
  • Repair major components (engine, transmission, differentials)
  • Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements

    • Requirements :

  • 3 years of diesel / automotive mechanic experience
  • Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Diesel Mechanic / Technical training
  • ASE certification is not required but, nice to have
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have your own set of tools
  • Must pass pre-employment checks (Criminal Record, Drug Screening, MVR)
