Job Summary:

This position will require strong knowledge of sales and a willingness to continually grow and learn within the IT industry. The ideal candidate should be confident in a plethora of IT topics and their ability to close deals with clients. The Information Technology Sales Associate will collaborate with IT developers and management to ensure quality product offerings and service implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategies and create sales goals.
  • Identify marketing opportunities and develop viable leads.
  • Remain up to date on technical product specifications, functionalities, and other applicable industry knowledge through regular research of industry trends.
  • Consult and work fluidly with IT developers and management to fine tune product offerings.
  • Assess potential clients’ needs and offer fitting recommendations.
  • Prepare thorough, informational, sales pitches and product demos.
  • Expertly negotiate sales and service renewal contracts, discounts, and warranties.
  • Track and document sales metrics while analyzing and finding opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Follow through on after-sales technical support, with respect to client needs and feedback.
  • Maintain a high level of autonomy and be a self-starter.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude.
  • Other additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, computer science, information technology, or equal experience in the industry.
  • 2-5 years of experience in IT sales.
  • Advanced marketing and sales strategy knowledge.
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate IT product specifications and functionalities.
  • Proficiency in IT industry terminology.
  • In-depth experience negotiating sales deals, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Strong customer service abilities and in-depth knowledge of consumer behavior, industry trends, and innovation.
