Industry
Medical management organization is actively seeking a Payroll Specialist. Prior experience in a multidivisional or multi-company environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist and process bi-weekly payrolls for multiple companies
- Responsible for maintaining all employee records as they pertain to payroll
- Submitting deduction reports/payment after payroll
- Entering various accounting entries including intercompany transfers, invoices, headcount, BWC payments
- Reconcile to the general ledger
- Answer and setup garnishments
- Exceptional client service answering payroll related questions
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Support other accounting/AP functions
Skills
- Previous payroll experience is preferred
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now software and Great Plains is a plus
- Strong knowledge of MS Office including Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strict attention to detail, highly organized
- Ability to enter data efficiently and accurately
- Familiarity with basic accounting and general ledger concepts
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Self-starter
- Maintaining confidentiality is essential
- Business maturity, demonstrate and use positive attitude with co-workers
Work Environment
Full time (on-site) position in a corporate headquarters office with competitive salary & benefits
Education/training
2 year college degree, high school graduate with payroll experience
Reports to
Payroll Manager, may take direction from other senior level accounting/finance staff members
