The right Business Developer for our companies will be the type of person who loves to sell and isn’t afraid of a $1MM/year annual goal. The right BD knows that the discipline and consistency needed to add opportunities to the top of the funnel and move opportunities through the funnel are rare to find in a sales professional; this is what sets them apart from their peers. Our team is looking for a sales leader who connects naturally with property managers and board members, knows how to accurately price landscaping services, and is skilled at differentiating offerings that lead to closed deals.
Unlike most companies who only offer one service, our BD will represent and sell two distinct services: commercial landscaping and pool care. Since landscaping and pool care are the #1 and #2 expense for HOAs, our BDM will not only be able to hit their goal with multiple services, they will also have the opportunity to deliver unique value to their customers. Assuming a successful first year, the BD will be evaluated for their fit to build a sales org and manage a newly hired BD in 2026.
Job Responsibilities
- Sell $1MM/year of commercial landscaping and pool service contracts for HOA and commercial customers in the Austin area (minimum contract size: $25,000/year)
- Report weekly on dollar amount of bids delivered (goal: $60k/year contracts sent/week)
- Manage and forecast your sales funnel with Close.io and maintain a close rate between 31-39%
- Organize 1 in-person happy hour per month to connect with potential customers
- Launch 2 cold email campaigns per month with a 35% open rate and 15% response rate
- Respond to RFPs, expand current relationships with property managers, and penetrate new opportunities
- Diligently follow up on pending opportunities and creatively push stagnant opportunities to close
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years BDM experience at a commercial landscaping or pool business
- Sold at least $1.5MM worth of landscape or pool contracts in your career
- Diligent follow through of pending opportunities and relentless approach to building top of funnel
- Strong sales/closing skills in addition to Central Texas landscaping expertise
- Must live in Austin, Texas and be self motivated
Details
- Tiered sales commission (2-6%) paid bi-weekly based on executed contracts
- Base W2 salary paid bi-weekly, full time in Austin

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
