What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Designer position at Proscia?
This position is based in Philadelphia and requires on-site presence.
About Proscia
Pathology is at the center of medicine and is undergoing a profound transformation as the final frontier of digitization in healthcare. We started Proscia to accelerate pathology’s transition from microscope to images and to use AI to change the way we think about cancer. We can’t change medicine alone. That’s why we’re looking for curious thinkers. Big dreamers. Developers, evangelists, pathologists, and scientists. Exceptional talent to help us use the great power of AI for good and advance humankind.
At Proscia, we push the limits of medicine and technology, solving problems the world has never solved before. We build software used by thousands of scientists and pathologists, who work on the front lines of fighting big enemies, like cancer, for patients around the globe. To accelerate our vision, Proscia has raised over $100M in capital from world-class healthcare and technology investors.
About This Position
Medical software has historically been defined by “box-checkers” that ignored design and neglected their customers. This technology deficit means that critical fields like pathology continue to leverage archaic practices. Shouldn’t the people and businesses at the center of the patient journey have access to the best software, built with the highest standards?
At Proscia, we care deeply about the things we build. That’s why we work to earn the respect of our community by creating beautiful, meaningful, and compelling experiences. We’re looking for a passionate Senior Product Designer to help us deliver experiences that not only meet but anticipate and deeply understand our users’ needs. This role emphasizes user empathy, a commitment to research-driven insights, and a vision for elevating UX design as a core component of our mission.
Experience in designing regulated medical device products is highly desirable, as is a passion for leveraging AI to solve complex challenges and transform healthcare.
What You’ll Do
Working at a high-growth, venture-backed company like Proscia means wearing many hats. When you come to work, you can expect to:
The success of our business is dependent on the ability for humans and computers to cooperate effectively. We’re looking for people who are smart, nice, and get stuff done. While we’re open to people who can prove us otherwise, we expect you to have:
At Proscia, we want our people to be happy and healthy, in and out of the office. We offer competitive pay, savings, schedule flexibility, and comprehensive insurance options that promote long-term health and personal growth. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, we’re surrounded by vibrant city views, so you can focus on what matters most.
We don’t just accept differences—we celebrate them, support them, and thrive on them for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community. Proscia is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace.
