Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Proseal Asphalt Maintenance. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing paving projects and operating heavy machinery, contributing directly to our mission of providing top-notch asphalt services.

Experience (preferred or required):

· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or vocational training in construction or asphalt paving/sealing is preferred

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

· 2 years’ experience in asphalt paving/sealing or a related construction field required

· Familiarity with sealcoat equipment and materials required

· Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor outdoors required

· Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints required

· Proficient in maintaining asphalt paving/sealing equipment required

· Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for applying sealcoating, crack sealing, and other protective treatments to asphalt.
• Prepare asphalt surfaces for sealcoat application, including brooming, backpack blow, cleaning, crack filling, oil spot treatment, and weedwacking
• Safely and effectively apply sealcoating using squeegees, brushes, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finishes
• Operate and maintain sealcoat equipment, including spray rigs, crack-sealing machines, and blowers
• Apply hot or cold crack sealant as needed to repair and preserve asphalt surfaces
• Mix sealcoat materials per manufacturer specifications and project requirements
• Ensure work sites are clean and free of debris after project completion
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA standards
• Work closely with other crew members and project managers to ensure efficient project completion
• Must be willing to perform all related tasks to support projects
• Follow and adhere to Company policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Perform other administrative duties, tasks and special projects as assigned

Pay: $20.51 - $23.00 per hour
