General Summary
The County of Antrim located in northwest Lower Michigan is seeking a qualified candidate to be appointed as the Prosecuting Attorney. The Antrim County Prosecutor’s Office is a three-attorney office located in Bellaire, and has a support staff of a full-time Victim’s Advocate, Executive Assistant to the Prosecutor, and two administrative support clerks. The vacancy is current and the chosen applicant will serve for the remainder of the current term. The salary for this position is $112,333.
Job Duties
The appointed prosecutor shall be responsible for handling all legal matters required by the constitution, statute, and court rule of Michigan. Duties include appearing in family, district, and circuit courts. The office currently represents the Department of Health and Human Services in abuse and neglect cases. The office does not handle civil matters for the county.
Requirements
At least two years’ experience in criminal law. Member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
