Public Relations Specialist
The Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office is currently accepting resumes for a part-time Public Relations Specialist to work as a communication professional responsible for managing and maintaining a positive public image for the Solicitors Office by crafting strategic messages, building relationships with the media, organizing events, and responding to crises.
Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to Pitching stories to journalists; Writing press releases to include social media posts, blog articles and website content creation; Managing media inquiries; and Developing relationships with key media contacts.
Preferred Qualifications : The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written; must be detail-oriented; Media savvy, digital fluency, and strategic thinking abilities are essential; strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must; must be able to work well in a team environment, while at the same time have the ability to work independently; exceptional crisis management skills; must demonstrate a strong sense of personal responsibility and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to serving the community and working with the public.
