Victim Witness Advocate
The Dekalb County Solicitor-General’s Office is currently accepting resumes/applications for a Victim Witness Advocate. This position will work closely with victims and/or witnesses of a crime to guide them through the Victim/Witness Advocacy Program.
Responsibilities include assisting with compensation claims, victim impact statements and advising of available resources based on the Victim Bill of Rights. Knowledge of the judicial process with respect to victims’ rights and case filings; and experience working with prosecutors and law enforcement are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree in social work or related field required; two years of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social justice, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Salary Range: $55k – $65k
