Hiring for Event Security Guards!

We're hiring reliable, experienced Event Security Guards! The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures. Position Type : Full Time

Shift Type : (Hours will vary. General working hours are between 8AM to 7PM)

Working Days : Monday to Friday

Pay Rate : $26.50 / hour

Please note - hours can fluctuate slightly but the officer will know of their schedule in advance.)

Responsibilities :

Oversee and monitor the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other individuals to maintain the security and safety of the premises.
Maintain a strong visible presence among visitors, patrons, and employees to enforce order and protect property.
Conduct regular foot patrols and surveillance of industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, promptly responding to emergency situations and providing security assistance as required.
Prepare detailed narrative reports and oversee the maintenance of daily activity reports (DARs).
Monitor and report irregular or unusual activity, implementing appropriate measures to address any identified risks.
Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.

Additional Event Responsibilities :

Help prepare for event day operations.

Follow proper guest screening procedures, including metal detectors, hand wands, and bag searching.

Monitor the event area to detect and respond to any suspicious behavior or activities.

Respond and assist with any emergencies at the event site.

Crowd control - ensuring orderly entry and exit, managing crowd flow during the event.

Provide assistance to event attendees with inquiries, directions, or any special requirements they may have.

Ensure a positive experience for attendees by being courteous, helpful, and responsive to their needs.

Be tech-savvy and comfortable adopting and navigating current and new technologies.

Metal Detector Operations (Preferred).

Minimum of 2 years security experience; security-minded but concierge-level experience is preferred.

Remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound decisions in high-stress situations without losing composure.

CCTV

Access Control

Fire System Operation

Hold-Up Security System Operation

Report Writing (Daily Activity Report and Incident Reports)

Foot Patrols

Dealing with unwanted / hostile individuals.

Metal Detector Operation and Bag Searches.

Crowd / line control

Qualifications :

Must possess an Active California Guard Card

CPR / AED Certification is not required, but desired

Required minimum 2 years of security experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficient computer skills are required (Microsoft Word, Excel)

Open availability to work all shifts and schedules.

Must possess reliable transportation.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively motivate and guide a team.

Ability to make clear decisions during crisis or high-stress periods.

May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature.

Must be reliable, demonstrate a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.
