Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, military police, or corrections and must be capable of handling a firearm responsibly.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Armed Security Officer to protect our clients’ assets, ensure the safety of personnel, and maintain a secure environment. This role requires a strong sense of vigilance, a high level of responsibility, and adherence to all security protocols and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, military police, or corrections and must be capable of handling a firearm responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identifying potential security breaches or hazards
- Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally
- Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access
- Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary
- Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security-related incidents
- Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections is required
- Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license is required in applicable states
- Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use
- Screenings: Must pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation (MMPI exam)
- Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
- Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs as needed
