We're hiring Security Officers for our retail client based in Yonkers, NY!
Wage: $23.00/h (weekly pay).
Shifts available: 1st shift
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
- Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of the rule
- Manage Access Control at a closed campus.
- Monitor/Operate/Dispatch response to various Security Systems
- Provide escort services for occupants of client property, as requested
- Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during business and non-business hours
- Respond to emergencies and investigate disturbances
- Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
- Secure facility and designated areas
- Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
- Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
Qualifications
- Must have a NYS Security Officer license
- Must be able to stand 8 or more hours with no accommodation
- Provide a safe and professional work environment for client's employees and guests
- Provide escort, patrol on foot to secure your assigned post
- Act quickly as a responder to incidents
- Bring a positive attitude every day - represent our brand, the client, and yourself in a professional manner
- Must be able to deescalate situations. Liaison between Store and Local PD
- Excellent communication skills and good judgment
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
- 1-2 years of retail or security experience
