The Patent Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to IP attorneys and technology specialists in the Patent Prosecution Department necessary to meet time-driven deadlines in the preparation of client correspondence and the electronic filing of correspondence. The Intellectual Property Administrative Assistant is also responsible for various administrative tasks, including but not limited to calendar management and travel management for attorneys and technology specialists.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist patent attorneys, technology specialists and paralegals in the preparation of correspondence to clients relating to all stages of patent prosecution
- Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Maintain document management system for IDS references
- Accurately create, edit, format and produce Word, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint documents
- Update and maintain correspondence in firm document management system (FileSite), electronic file wrapper system (EFW), and client portals, as needed
- Create new business forms
- Complete and submit Expense Forms via Chrome River, prepare check requests, and invoices, and submit in a timely manner
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).
