Job Summary: The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring the smooth operation of inventory processes. This role requires strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in managing replenishment processes to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Data Entry and Reporting:
- Input and maintain accurate inventory data in management systems.
- Generate reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and discrepancies for management review.
- Receiving and Shipping:
- Oversee the receiving of incoming stock and ensure proper logging of items.
- Assist in the shipping process by preparing items for dispatch and maintaining accurate shipping records.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all inventory meets quality standards and is stored properly to minimize damage and loss.
- Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing products to verify quality and accuracy.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to address inventory needs and resolve issues.
- Assist in training new staff in inventory procedures and best practices.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow company policies and industry regulations related to inventory management and safety.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized inventory area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field.
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
