What You’ll Do
- Place orders with suppliers/mills for merchandise; administer and communicate delivery of all orders to suppliers by email or phone.
- Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure all purchase orders were received; collect confirmations and accurate lead time information.
- Monitor freight grid changes and manage free delivery days.
- Compare delivery dates on open purchase order reports daily, confirming ship dates to ensure deliveries will ship and arrive on time.
- Notify Account Managers of any changes or delays.
- Update orders and internal notes with any changes.
- Notify management promptly if a critical delivery is going to be late.
- Work with suppliers to solve invoicing issues that could delay critical shipments
- Assist accounts payable and receiving in reconciling discrepancies.
- Reliable access to a high-speed internet connection
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised to solve problems and challenges
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate numerical data such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with RFMS ERP system
- A strong understanding of technology and the internet (using mobile devices, apps, and internet searches)
