What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assistant position at ProSource?
Reports to : Operations / Warehouse Manager
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assistant with all purchasing, receiving, and warehouse management. They will report directly to the Operations / Warehouse Manager and works closely with the Scheduling Coordinators or Sales Staff to determine what needs to be ordered at certain stages of projects.
Roles :
- Purchasing all products required for upcoming and ongoing projects. This means working closely with the Project Coordinator or Sales Engineer to determine job-specific needs.
- Receiving all product that has been ordered and shipped through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and all TL / LTL and other couriers
- The Warehouse Associate will maintain the warehouse's cleanliness and product placement. This means having all product that has been received placed in appropriate job start piles for ease of access and delivery on project deployment. (Rough / Trim / Finish / Punch / Service)
- Maintaining vendor relationships through effective communication and handling shipment disputes in a reasonable manner.
