Dental Billing Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Billing Specialist to join our dental billing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental billing and coding, with expertise in dental terminology and coding systems. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate billing processes, maintaining patient records, and facilitating smooth financial operations within our medical office.

Duties

• Process and manage patient billing information accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient information or coding.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any issues related to billing discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing practices, coding updates, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in the management of accounts receivable and maintain accurate financial records.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their bills or insurance claims.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental billing and coding .
• Strong understanding of dental terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals.
• Certification in Medical Coding or Billing is preferred but not mandatory.
