What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenace Technician position at Prospance Inc?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lab test equipment. This includes but is not limited to: observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools
- Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as necessary
- Independently perform maintenance as per industry standards
- Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs
- Utilize standard hand tools as well as simple diagnostic tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Ability to work in tight spaces
- Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards
- Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviours and conditions
- Experience in a test environment is a plus
- Experience working around lithium-ion batteries is a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.29 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
