What are the responsibilities and job description for the AIRPORT LAVATORY SERVICING DRIVER position at Prospect Airport Services?
LOCATED IN TERMINAL 3 AT SKY HARBOR AIRPORT.
We are currently growing our lavatory department! Our lavatory drivers are key players on the team responsible for the on-time departures of aircraft. Drivers are responsible for safely approaching aircraft and connecting to the lavatory plumbing system of the aircraft to empty the storage tanks.
Safety is paramount at Prospect and the Lavatory department is no different. There is a lot of risk when driving vehicles around aircraft, and drivers must be aware of their surroundings at all time. All driving laws must be followed. Safety is the most important
All applicants must have a valid drivers license, with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and have the desire to learn. We have an outstanding training program for our lavatory department and we will make sure that you are set up for success.
This position is outside in the elements. Driving on the tarmac in the heat, rain and cold. Standing, Sitting, Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, and Bending are all common tasks involved in day-to-day performance. Job will require lifting large heavy hoses, garbage bags full of trash. 30lbs often 50lbs occassionally
PAY RATE: $17.00 PER HOUR

Job Duties:
- Drive a lav truck on the airport tarmac, safely and efficiently
- follow all driving rules, while using caution
- As the plane arrives, connect the sewer hose to the plane and empty its contents. Then add blue water back into the tank
- In between servicing planes, drive trash to the trash drop off
- Follow safety protocol exactly, ex: Spills
- Perform vehicle inspections every day to ensure the truck is safe and ready for the day
Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must be hard working and have a sense of urgency(reliable)
- Must use all safety procedures (ear plugs, safety vest, non slip shoes)
- Must be a team player and be coachable
- Pass a pre employment drug screening and random drug testing
- Must be able to pass a 10 year background check
- Must have VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE and clean driving record!
This position requires computer lessons for the airline before starting the On the job training. We do all training at our office.
