What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Radio Room Agent position at Prospect Airport Services?
The Radio Room Agent is responsible for efficiently handling the issuance and receipt of various assets, commodities, and supplies to and from station employees. This role requires proficiency in using the inventory management system and keeping track of inventory levels accurately. Additionally, the specialist will ensure that all products are kept in a secure environment and will provide coverage during operating hours as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a high level of proficiency with the inventory management system and stay up-to-date with subsequent software upgrades.
- Adhere to company policies regarding the proper usage of equipment and property.
- Utilize the inventory management system to record transactions, either through handheld scanners or data entry.
- Issue and receive various assets, such as handheld radios, commodity tracking scanners, wireless headsets, etc., to and from employees.
- Issue and receive personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work gloves, safety vests, knee pads, etc., for
- employees.
- Issue and receive office supplies like pens, paper, toner cartridges, etc., as required by employees.
- Restock inventory as needed, pulling items from bulk storage to replenish depleted stock in the Radio/PPE Room.
- Ensure that electronic equipment, such as handheld radios, commodity tracking scanners, spare batteries wireless headsets, etc., is charged or charging as necessary.
Requirements:
- Dedication to the role as a consistent staff member, with a commitment to being trained and proficient in inventory management tasks.
- Flexibility to work during early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends to provide coverage during operating hours.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and the ability to adapt to software upgrades.
- Knowledge of company policies related to equipment and property usage.
- Ability to issue and receive assets, commodities, and supplies efficiently and in a secure manner.
- Capability to manage inventory levels effectively and restock as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with station employees and address their inventory-related needs.
