Job Responsibilities

Prospect is seeking an experienced CLO Loan Portfolio Manager to help establish and lead our collateral management business. This individual will be instrumental in structuring, managing, and scaling our CLO investment platform, overseeing loan selection, portfolio management, and compliance with CLO requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of leveraged loans, structured credit, and CLO mechanics, with the ability to build and execute a successful investment strategy from the ground up.



Credit Analysis & Underwriting:

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis on leveraged loans, including reviewing financial statements, industry trends, and management quality.
  • Assess risk factors such as covenant structures, capital structure positioning, and default probabilities.

Portfolio Management & Trading:

  • Actively manage a CLO portfolio by identifying attractive loan investment opportunities that fit within portfolio constraints.
  • Monitor existing holdings, tracking credit performance and identifying potential risks or trading opportunities.
  • Execute loan trades, working closely with traders and counterparties to optimize portfolio performance.

Investment Committee & Strategy Development:

  • Prepare and present investment recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Contribute to the overall investment strategy, considering macroeconomic conditions, sector trends, and CLO-specific factors.
  • Ensure portfolio compliance with CLO indenture covenants, eligibility criteria, and rating agency requirements.

Risk Management & Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor credit migration, rating agency actions, and loan market trends that impact CLO performance.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate portfolio resilience.
  • Work closely with risk management and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.



Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 10 years of leveraged loan investing experience including experience investing within a CLO
  • Strong credit analysis and financial modeling skills.
  • Familiarity with CLO mechanics, documentation, and rating agency methodologies.
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in academic, professional, and personal endeavors
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.



The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is plus annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and performance.
