Integrated Arts Teacher, High School Campus

Prospect Hill Academy High School is seeking a passionate and collaborative multi-disciplinary Integrated Arts Teacher(visual arts, media arts) to serve in the following capacities:

• Teacher: developing and teaching 9th grade creative arts elective, supporting upperclassmen in portfolio development/application process to post secondary art/architecture programs
• Advisor: grade level TBD
• Co-planner: collaborating with academic content teachers on project design during weekly common planning meetings and professional learning time
• Visiting Artist/Co-Teacher: rotating through classes to support teacher implementation of project based learning that requires students to construct and demonstrate learning through an art form
• PBL Lab Manager: managing classroom space dedicated to serving as a project based learning lab

What Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences are needed for this role?

• Bachelor’s degree required
• MA Licensure in relevant field preferred, or working towards completion of licensure
• Understanding and familiarity with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
• Commitment to Prospect Hill Academy’s educational mission and values
• Commitment to and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds with diverse profiles
• Willingness to work collaboratively with a dedicated staff and involved parent body
• Strong organizational and communication skills
