Position Summary:
The position of the Supply Chain Supervisor is directly responsible for supplier research and selection, supplier approval and management, supplier relationships and negotiations, supplier delivery and cost goals, and support with inventory control.
The position reports directly to the head of Production
Key Accountabilities:
Operating System (OS) Responsibilities- 10%
Accountable for completing and reporting progress on assigned projects and tasks for PLS operating system that includes due dates, key performance indicators (KPIs), and participation in IDS (identify, discuss, solve) exercises.
Functional Group Responsibilities- 10%
Accountable to support functional team members in Quality, Product Development, and Manufacturing Transfer, and Production pertaining to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance.
Client Project Responsibilities – 75%
Accountable for all Client project and PLS purchasing requirements and requests which include supplier research and selection, competitive quoting, tracking delivery dates, ordering materials, purchase order creation, inputting data into ERP system, supplier communication, material traceability, and supplier performance reports.
Business Development and Client Service Responsibilities- 5%
Accountable to support requirements through promotion of company reputation and services, and proposal budget development through material quoting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operating System (OS) Responsibilities- 10%
- Work directly with Head of Production and Manufacturing Transfer to achieve functional group objectives, budget, and schedule based on 1-, 3-, and 5-year objectives.
- Calculate key performance indicators (KPIs), support KPI evaluation, and completion of action items.
- Support OS meeting IDS process through research, brainstorming, documenting, and completion of action items.
- Implement root cause analysis of product/process/project issue and understand /calculate cost of scope of work changes.
Functional Group Responsibilities- 10%
- Support reporting with functional team members through open and honest communication, real time feedback on performance and areas of improvement.
- Participate in quarterly position expectations-performance evaluations (PEEP) with manager and work on personal development plan to improve overall performance.
- Know, understanding, and continuously improving SOPs, WI’s, STM’s, and QMS documentation as applicable to my role.
- Know, understanding, and continuously improving ERP System data and processes.
- Identify and recommend suppliers for the ASL (prototype and production), and support audits as required during the approval process.
Client Project Responsibilities – 75%
- Establish, release, and scale costed BOM for products.
- Establish, release, and scale material orders in ERP.
- Establish and execute on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Execute supplier chain risk assessments.
- Support Quality Assurance on supplier evaluation.
- Ensure client cycle counts are accurate and occur regularly.
- Track component/material dock dates and communicate/escalate as necessary to hit production objectives.
- Execute competitive quoting with strategic suppliers.
- Be the main point of contact for suppliers (deliveries, cert issues, revision, etc.).
- Support data for supplier scorecards and annual supplier reviews.
- Support monthly inventory reporting for clients.
- Support accounting with purchase reconciliation to invoices.
Business Development and Client Service Responsibilities- 5%
- Support business development activities such as supply chain research, cost savings analysis, and finished device pricing.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the clients’ position in the market, their product, points of difference and competitive landscape, and disseminate knowledge of client product materials to team members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Supply Chain degree preferred.
- Minimum 4-8 years experience, preferred medical device manufacturing supply chain experience.
- Proven professional qualities, including strong initiative, integrity, and the desire/ability to work and grow in a dynamic team environment.
- Proven history of being able to consistently promote a positive, professional atmosphere and support activities that enhance the welfare and morale of PLS associates even during periods of shifting priorities.
- Ability to perform excellent work with moderate to medium supervision/direction.
