Opportunity
As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager/Controller to join our team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations, improving efficiencies, and ensuring strong financial management across our real estate portfolio. You will work closely with our leadership team and staff accountants to implement financial strategies, optimize reporting, and maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead finance, accounting, and payroll functions, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Develop, review, and distribute quarterly budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to expenses, accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP), and performance tracking.
- Partner with the executive team to optimize financial planning and analysis workflows.
- Oversee accounts receivable and ensure efficient cash flow management.
- Manage corporate tax compliance filings and annual financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and administration/audit schedules.
- Maintain and improve financial reporting infrastructure, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting.
- Drive long-term financial growth and efficiency initiatives within the company.
- Collaborate with leadership to support investment decisions and assess financial performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred).
- 5 years of experience in real estate finance, with a strong background in multi-site property management finance.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in AppFolio and QuickBooks (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
