Description : Position Summary :
The Chetola Resort seeks a highly motivated and talented AM Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at our on-site Timberlake's Restaurant. In this key role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the success of our full-service resort restaurant, and banquet operations. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine to oversee and supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Kitchen Supervision & Staff Management :
Oversee and supervise all kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Train and mentor staff on culinary techniques, food safety procedures, and kitchen sanitationCreate and maintain a positive and productive work environment.Schedule staff effectively to meet operational demands.Food Production & Quality Control :Assist the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in menu planning, including seasonal specials and banquet menus.
Ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet or exceed guest expectations.Maintain strict quality control standards for all food items.Monitor food costs and inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.Kitchen Operations & Maintenance :Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and HACCP standards.Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate necessary maintenance.Assist with ordering and receiving of food and supplies.Guest Service :Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
Build strong relationships with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Contribute to a positive and welcoming guest experience.Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, full-service kitchen.Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Food Safety Certification preferred but not requiredBenefits :
