What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrolled Agent position at Prosperitas Financial?
Are you an experienced Enrolled Agent looking to play a key role in transforming how financial advisory clients experience tax planning? At Prosperitas, we believe tax preparation is not just a seasonal task—it's a crucial part of the larger financial picture. As our Enrolled Agent, you'll be integral to helping clients see the big picture, ensuring that every tax return is seamlessly aligned with their financial goals.
Who We Are and What We Stand For
At Prosperitas, we don’t just value excellence—we embody it. Our core values of Integrity, Client-Centered Service, and Collaboration define everything we do. We believe in creating personalized solutions that reflect each client’s financial situation and future aspirations, and your work as an EA will be key in that process. By integrating tax strategy into financial planning, you’ll be helping clients achieve their life goals, not just filing paperwork.
What You’ll Do and Why You’ll Love It
In this role, you won’t just be crunching numbers—you’ll be solving real-life financial puzzles. As part of our team, you’ll have the autonomy and support to create meaningful impact by:
● Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individual and business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
● Collaborating closely with our financial advisors to offer proactive tax strategies that optimize each client's financial plan.
● Advising clients on tax-related matters, becoming their trusted partner in reducing tax liabilities and staying ahead of new tax laws.
● Integrating tax strategies with long-term financial goals, turning what is often seen as a once-a-year task into a service that continually benefits clients’ overall wealth.
This is not just another tax job. You’ll be empowered with cutting-edge tools and comprehensive training to deliver excellent client experiences, while growing your career in a forward-thinking and collaborative environment.
Why This Role is Different
If you've ever felt trapped in a cycle of tedious, transactional work, you’ll love that this is not that kind of role. At Prosperitas, you’ll have the chance to develop deep, long-term relationships with clients. You’ll be the go-to expert, advising not only on taxes but on how those decisions fit into their greater financial plan. The work is relational, and you’ll be supported by a team that’s here to grow with you.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll thrive here if you excel at:
● Providing accurate, white-glove tax preparation services, ensuring every client gets the best possible outcome.
● Thinking proactively, spotting opportunities for clients to save on taxes and presenting those ideas to both the client and their advisor.
● Working collaboratively, communicating effectively with both clients and teammates to ensure seamless tax planning and financial advising services.
About You
● You’re an Enrolled Agent (EA) with active IRS licensure and 3-5 years of tax preparation experience.
● You have a passion for tax strategy and enjoy helping clients see how tax planning fits into their broader financial goals.
● You’re proficient in tax preparation software (Drake, UltraTax, or similar) and stay up-to-date on the latest tax laws.
● You’re detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple clients during busy seasons while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy.
Benefits
● Competitive salary starting at $75,000 (depending on experience) plus regular bonuses.
● Full benefits, including healthcare, 401(k) matching, and support for continuing professional development.
● Growth opportunities in a dynamic, client-focused firm that values your input.
