POSITION PURPOSE
It is the responsibility of the ERM Manager to administer the Bank’s ERM Program on a day-to-day basis. The ERM Manager will report directly to the Bank’s Chief Risk Officer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Ongoing development and implementation of the Bank’s ERM Program, including communications and training.
- Facilitate periodic ERM risk assessments.
- Administer the Bank’s ERM database, including monitoring, reporting and coordinating audit/compliance findings with responsible business, operations, and technology managers.
- Perform risk consulting assignments and process improvement analyses, which may require a high degree of knowledge of banking regulations, GAAP, SEC reporting, and business, operations, and technology units.
- Interpret accounting standards and banking regulations and related internal policies to identify compliance gaps and its related impact to the Bank.
- Establish and maintain ongoing governance of the Bank’s policies and procedures process.
- Execute on special projects and other assignments as requested by the Chief Risk Officer.
- Liaison with various risk committees of the Company.
- Liaison with internal/external auditors and consultants regarding all work performed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in financial institution field or related area (risk management or audit).
KNOWELDGE REQUIRED:
A working knowledge of the COSO ERM Framework.
Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and letters.
