POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for providing technical support for desktop computers and related end-user desktop hardware technology for all users. It is responsible for performing second-tier (Service Desk is first-tier) technical hardware support to all users. The position assists and supports area personnel and promotes a team environment. It keeps management well informed of area activities and maintains all related records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for providing end user computing hardware technical support for all users.
- Responsibilities for this position include imaging replacement PCs and shipping to the correct location in a timely manner.
- Assists users with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment.
- Works with Service Desk, Networking, Application Support and other IT Teams as appropriate to determine and resolve issues received from end users.
- The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of branch capture devices, printers, Multi Function Print devices, as well as other end user computing peripheral devices.
- The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with moderate supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with clients, vendors, and outside contacts.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with area staff, other departments, and with management.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
5. Assumes responsibility for Bank Secrecy Act / Anti Money Laundering related duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification : 4 -year degree. Microsoft certification encouraged.
Required Knowledge : Very strong knowledge of current Microsoft desktop Operating Systems.
Experience Required : Ten or more years of desktop support and related software and hardware experience.
Skills / Abilities : Able to work well independently.
Good problem-solving skills.
Solid oral and written communications abilities.
Ability to assist and train others.
Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM.
40 hours a week.
