What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Support Associate - Victoria Main position at PROSPERITY BANK?
Responsible for performing a wide variety of financial, clerical and receptionist duties. Provide customer assistance in multiple retail areas of the bank as well as aiding in retail operational areas too.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assume responsibilities for safe deposit boxes.
- Allows customers to access safe deposit boxes.
- Open new boxes, closing existing boxes and maintain accurate records/contracts/access tickets.
- Resolve customer requests promptly, courteously and professionally.
- Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and significant issues.
- Assist BCM with annual audits of Safe Deposit boxes and annual escheatment tasks.
Assume responsibilities of backing up Mail Room and Branch Capture duties (when main associate out of the bank).
- Mail Room: Retrieving mail from Post Office Box and completing the distribution of mail.
- Branch Capture: Timely gathering throughout the day of all proof needing to be scanned into SCO and submitting EOD reports.
Assume responsibility for ensuring all mail-in deposits have been accurately logged and processed.
- Mail will be opened daily, logged and appropriate tickets completed and given to tellers for daily processing.
Assume responsibilities in backing up associates handling Loan Insurance update requests are processed and completed in a timely manner.
- Contact associate handling Loan Insurance verification requests and handle any overflow.
Assume responsibilities for related duties as required or assigned.
- Actively and professional sells Bank products and services.
- Performs related clerical duties as needed.
- Ensures that work area(s) are clean, secure and well maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
Good understanding of financial services and products provided.
Understanding of customer bookkeeping procedures and computer applications.
Experience Required:
one, but related office experience is preferred such as P.C. application skills.
Skills/Abilities:
Good communication and public relation skills
Excellent phone skills.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Well organized and attentive to details.
Willing to cooperate with and assist others.
Able to use PC, printer, phones, and basic business equipment.
