Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our SUD team. In this role, you will provide support to individuals with behavioral challenges, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Your primary focus will be on implementing behavior management strategies and assisting in the development of personalized care plans. You will work closely with clients to promote positive behavior changes and enhance their quality of life.
ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies as directed by a supervisor or behavior analyst.
- Monitor and document client progress, including changes in behavior and responses to interventions.
- Provide patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during sessions.
- Administer medication as prescribed, while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding confidentiality and patient privacy.
- Take vital signs when necessary and maintain accurate medical records for each client.
- Engage in crisis management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Support clients in daily activities, fostering independence and skill development.
- Utilize knowledge of addiction counseling when applicable to support clients with dual diagnoses.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies is essential.
- Experience in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and maintaining medical records is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Background in crisis management is beneficial for addressing emergencies effectively.
