Our company operates Substance Abuse Disorder and Mental Health facilities across the country. We have dual-diagnosis facilities in IN. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our client base. This is a key role that requires a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social media.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective lead generation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the company, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company goals.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable and sustainable agreements.
- Meets key performance measurements including, but not limited to averaging 5 quality face-2-face calls per day (25 average weekly) at a minimum.
- Continually adapt growth plan and strategy
- Close deals and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to enhance business opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to explore mutually beneficial alliances.
- Attend industry events and conferences to build a professional network.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.
- Analyze key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies.
- Work within allocated budgets for business development activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills related to business development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Territory Manager or other type of Outside Sales Representative position.
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred with a concentration in Business, Marketing, Social work, Healthcare or related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in outside sales with documented results.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with the addiction/recovery treatment field, including 12-step programs
- Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) skills required
- Strong presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with the public.
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 80% local travel
- 20% regional travel, some overnight may be required.
- Able to walk approximately 3-4 miles during an eight-hour shift.
- Able to continuously sit from one-half hour to four hours per eight hours.
- Able to frequently ascend and descend stairs.
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- If recovering, two (2) years of continuous, verifiable sobriety.
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness to perform the job in a safe manner.
- Regular attendance; including conference calls and onsite meetings, as necessary.
- Pass a criminal background check, urine drug screen and motor vehicle report.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and a driving record permitting coverage under the company's automobile liability policy if necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
