Conduct Biopsycho assessments to determine clients' needs, strengths, and challenges.
Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their mental health concerns and goals.
Provide individual and group counseling to clients, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.
Offer crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies.
Monitor clients' progress and regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting interventions and care plans as needed.
Advocate for clients' rights, needs, and access to mental health services within the community.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
Provide education and support to clients and their families, helping them understand mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any significant incidents or observations.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Provide outside referrals as determined by client assessment
Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality guidelines, and legal requirements related to mental health practice.
Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related fieldin mental health.
Previous experience in mental health counseling or social work, preferably in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based interventions and knowledge in DSM5.
Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and counseling techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport, engage with clients, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Empathy, compassion, and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients in a nonjudgmental manner.
Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and provide support
Cultural competence and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and multiple responsibilities effectively.
Proficiency in using technology and data management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
