Job Description: In this role, the Academic Success Advisor has passion to ensure student success and achievements at Prosperity Training Center. This person is championing for students, instructors and fellow co-workers. This position is a combination of marketing and clerical activities.
Job Duties:
The following is a list of duties related to the position. There may be other duties assigned:
- Liaising and corresponding within the community to recruit students
- Distribute marketing materials
- Participate in marketing events
- Scheduling fingerprint services
- Scheduling Testing for students
- Answering the phones
- Monitor email correspondence
- Managing upcoming and current student roster
- Coordinate with the Program Director student calendar
- Experience in rapidly adapting and effectively utilizing new technology, practices, polices, and methods
- Experience with the use of internet-based research tools and Microsoft Office computer applications
- Work as part of a team to increase student retention and graduation
- Works closely and collaboratively with students, faculty and staff to support academic success
- Acts as school representative to current and prospective students, faculty, staff and external groups on issues related to academic success; attends and or presents at orientation, graduation, or recruiting events/activities/ workshops.
Responsibilities:
- Tasks are carried out in a climate-controlled office environment, involving prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and using a computer mouse. The role also requires standing for various durations and walking moderate distances to complete work.
- Regular bending, reading, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Maintaining Records: keeping accurate records of student’s files, and program outcomes
- Traveling for marketing events
