Position Description
The Associate Financial Planner will prepare financial plans and reviews and cover all aspects of financial planning, from the discovery process to implementation and ongoing support. This position will work with the Financial Planning Analyst and Client Services Director to prepare and engage in client meetings. Working directly with both prospective and current clients of the firm as a fiduciary is a key function. Responsibilities include :
- Prepare for and conduct ongoing client meetings; take notes and become familiar with client needs
- Create financial plans with custom analysis to support financial decisions
- Meet with prospective clients to evaluate their needs and make recommendations
- Work alongside the firm’s Client Services Director and Financial Planning Analyst to assist clients with ongoing needs
- Perform asset allocation proposals necessary for client portfolio reviews
- Perform ongoing research related to firm investment models
- Support firm marketing efforts as a subject matter expert in the creation of newsletters and podcasts
- Actively participate in events to promote current and prospective client awareness of the firm
- Work alongside the Chief Compliance Officer in meeting firm regulatory requirements
- Support Lead Advisor / Principal by creating presentations and materials for business development efforts
- Some light travel is required with clients located primarily in Southern California and Texas

Compensation
Total compensation is made up of a base salary, a production bonus, and a firm performance bonus. In addition, we offer employer-sponsored health insurance, a 401k retirement plan, and paid personal time off. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Candidates should be Southern California-based. This is a hybrid position with a required number of ‘in-office’ days. The office is located in Irvine, California. No relocation assistance is available.
