Overview and Responsibilities

As a Lead DevOps Engineer at ProsperityEHR, you will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to streamline and automate our software development and deployment processes. You will implement best practices, optimize infrastructure, and ensure that our systems are robust, efficient, and resilient.

You’ll be successful in this role and help grow the company by :

  • Designing, implementing, and managing multiple Kubernetes clusters hosted on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for high availability and scalability.
  • Developing and optimizing CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support seamless deployment and integration workflows.
  • Architecting and maintaining Azure PaaS services , ensuring cost-efficiency, performance, and alignment with best practices.
  • Oversee all aspects of Azure networking , including Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, and Private Endpoints.
  • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL Flexible Servers for secure and high-performance database operations.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively implement improvements.
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless integration between infrastructure and applications.
  • Implementing security best practices, including monitoring, encryption, and identity management, to protect all systems and data.
  • Leading incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for deployment issues, as well as escalated infrastructure issues.

Qualifications

Required :

  • 10 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role, with at least 6
  • years

    working in Azure-based environments

  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS experience preferred) including Helm, RBAC, and container orchestration best practices.
  • Strong expertise in Azure services , including Azure Networking (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers), PaaS offerings, and Identity Management.
  • Experience managing PostgreSQL Flexible Servers or equivalent relational databases.
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps tools for CI / CD pipelines, including YAML-based configurations.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel as required.
  • Must reside in one of the following states : FL, CO, GA, IA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, PA, WI, WV
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Preferred

  • Certifications : Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) , or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor Prometheus , or Grafana
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and service mesh solutions (e.g., Istio or Linkerd).
  • Must be a team player – Able to communicate effectively in a team environment, and have productive conversations about ideas
  • Highly autonomous and self-directed
  • Operate with a service mindset
