What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Machinist Technician position at Prospira America Corporation?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To fabricate / repair tooling, gages, and machine components to support production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a safe working environment and report safety problems as they arise
- Support maintenance with machine repair work
- Support engineering departments in developing and building new tooling
- Fabricate/modify components for machine improvement
- Repair molds
- Build gages
- Program and operate CNC machining centers using Autodesk Inventor Cam (HSM)
- Support prototype work
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Journeyman card- Tool & Die or Technical Certificate and five (5) years' experience
- Welding, Benching & polishing skills
- CNC programming skills Manual at the PLC, CAM using Autodesk Inventor Cam (HSM), and Conversational
- Experience in mold/tool repair and assembly
- Working knowledge of mold / tool design
- Physically capable of lifting and manipulating heavy objects
Salary : $26 - $29
