What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gastroenterologist at Prosser Digestive Health Center position at Prosser Memorial Health?
Prosser Memorial Health (PMH) in Prosser, Washington seeks a full-time Gastroenterologist to join our Digestive Health Center (Prosser Digestive Health Center) who is board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology. Join our supportive and collaborative team as the fourth full-time GI physician to provide general and advanced Gastroenterology services to our community.
Practice Highlights :
- Services include but are not limited to diagnosis and treatment of GE reflux, Barrett’s esophagus, swallowing problems & esophageal mobility disorders, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening, rectal pain, liver disorders, and biliary tract and pancreatic disorders.
- Practice model : Four Physicians, an Advanced Practice Clinician, Registered Nurses, and Certified Medical Assistants. We currently have three highly qualified GI physicians.
- 4-day work week.
- No call.
- Excellent office and GI procedure unit support staff.
- EMR - EPIC & PROVATION-APEX.
- Procedures performed with Propofol and CRNA support.
- Current GI procedures performed at PMH include : Colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, gastrointestinal stricture dilatation, gastrointestinal stenting, push enteroscopy, PEG / PEJ placement, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of complex & large colon polyps, ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), EUS (endoscopic ultrasound), small bowel capsule endoscopy, liver biopsy, and liver elastography.
- Leading GI center in Southeastern Washington.
- New Endoscopy Center in process with expected opening in 2026-2027.
- Strong collaboration with regional medical and surgical specialists.
- Hospitalists manage all inpatients - GI serves as consultants only.
- Ample patient volumes for practice growth.
- Additional specialized skill sets in gastrointestinal motility, inflammatory bowel disease, and hepatology desired.

Prosser Memorial Health is an independent full-service nonprofit 25-bed critical access hospital located in Prosser, Washington. Prosser Memorial Health has three primary care clinics, Therapy & Rehab Center, Dermatology Center, Digestive Health Center, Women's Health Center, General Surgery Center, Urology Center, Orthopedic Center, ENT & Allergy Center, Heart Center, and Endocrinology Center. Our new state-of-the-art hospital opens in January 2025.
