What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Prostar, Inc?
Title: Human Resource Generalist
Hours: Part Time (M-F 7am-11am) with potential to go Full Time
Location: Farmington, CT
· Recruitment Support consisting of posting job openings, resume review, interview scheduling, reference checks and assisting in the hiring process.
· Prepare new employee paperwork, facilitating introductions to company personnel and departments.
· Conduct various meetings with employees about benefits, 401k, employee conduct, etc.
· Maintain accurate employee data including personal information, employment details, time and attendance records.
· Answer general employee questions regarding benefits, enrollments or any needed changes.
· Address employee concerns, facilitate conflict resolution, provide employee support.
· Ensure adherence to labor laws, including maintaining employee handbooks and policies while updating company policies as needed.
· Review and perform internal audits of various departments.
· Assist with development and delivery of training programs.
· Maintain HR databases, generate reports, provide analysis as needed.
· Clerical office work, supply ordering, periodic close by driving between two facilities.
· Occasional short trips to endorse documents such as Chamber of Commerce.
Requirements:
· Bachelors’ degree in the applicable field, preferred.
· Prior experience in human resources, even if limited role.
· Applicable experience and knowledge of a manufacturing facility where cGMP, OSHA compliance and safety are paramount.
· Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Payroll system.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
· Experience in a production environment, preferred.
· Other requirements as needed.
