PROSTAR Staffing has partnered with a warehouse located in Totowa, NJ.
They’re in need of a Warehouse Associate to join their team!
Details :
Monday thru Friday
Schedule : 9AM-6PM
Payrate : $21.00HR
English - Required
Forklift - Required
Must pass Forklift Operator Exam
PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE OF JOB
Responsible for the timely and accurate receipt and shipping of all products purchased from and shipped to the company. Handles all technical details of shipping including international requirements and working with alternate logistic intermediaries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Load and unload all transportation vehicles, and trucks
Provide high quality standards of packaging, crafting, and packing to ensure the integrity of the product during shipping.
Pull, prep, and ship product to customers.
Receive all in bound materials, parts, tools, and supplies and accurately document and place in storage.
Track inventory using daily cycle counts and assist in reconciliation of inventory issues as they arise
Assist in identifying new procedures and methods to expedite the shipments and create a cost savings if appropriate.
Maintain a clean warehouse by taking trash to the dumpster and recycle as needed.
Receive packages for other employees and notify them of the package arriving to the warehouse.
Cut cables for each orders including but not limited for direct shipping or for assembly (as a back-up).
Repack products in the damaged package and store appropriately.
Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS and ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including Explorer, Word, Excel
Able to follow directions and complete task assigned with minimal direction
Attention to detail, organized, and accurate
Excellent verbal communication skills
Able to work with small parts and ensure quality
Must be able to operate fork lift / pallet jack / hi-lo
