Location : San Jose, California (Sunnyvale Onsite)

Position Overview : As an Onsite IT Support Technician at ProStratus, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional technical support to our clients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing guidance on system functionality, and ensuring optimal performance of our clients' IT environments. Responsibilities :

  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or remote assistance tools.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.
  • Document all support interactions, including details of inquiries, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided, in our ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or senior technical staff for further investigation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with other support analysts and technical teams to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Proactively monitor clients' systems and networks to identify potential issues and address them before they impact operations.
  • Assist in the implementation and configuration of software applications, operating systems, and network devices.
  • Provide end-user training and guidance on system usage and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of support processes and documentation.

Requirements :

  • Outstanding personality and professional attitude
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), and networking concepts.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting common software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and web browsers.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical users.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a passion for helping others and a dedication to exceeding client expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
